Deemed the unluckiest team in the Major Leagues, Oklahoma Tornados games were plagued by freak injuries, off pitch fall-outs, on-pitch flukes, and disaster when Zephyr Park - considered one of the greatest baseball stadiums in the Midwest - was destroyed by a tornado in 1971. Though there were no casualties, the struggling team was abandoned along with its stadium, which was turned into a mall in 1975.
Thanks to the club’s infamy and short tenure, Tornados merchandise is rare and sought after. Despite the rumours that the club’s bad luck might travel with it.
