Little Rock's Big Steakhouse, Arkansas
Little Rock's Big Steakhouse, Arkansas
Incredibly rare prize tee from the 72oz Steak Challenge at the infamous Little Rock’s Big Steakhouse.
Chuck Mayhew liked his ‘rigs big and his steaks bigger’, his friends told investigators after the local Big Rig driver collapsed during the 72oz Steak Challenge at Little Rock’s Big Steakhouse. His ongoing feud with owner Walt Draymer over an unpaid bill, sparked enough local rumour and speculation that the incident was investigated by the FBI in 1982.
Though the investigation proved ‘inconclusive’, the steakhouse experienced some of its busiest years after Chuck’s death, until it was bulldozed to make way for a Walmart in 1995.
