Chad Emery once said his company summed up everything worth knowing about Michigan, ‘The beauty of the great lakes and the stink of engine oil.’ Michigan Outboard Motors has been servicing the Great Lakes from its warehouse on South Haven Road since Chad started the company with his wife Patty in 1933. Despite several FBI raids linking the family to the activity of Irish gangs, Michigan Outboard Motor Company continues to be a proud ‘Mom and Pop’ business now in 8th decade of trading.
